We have talked about setting up an inexpensive webpage but the next thing to look at is how to get traffic to your site. the best website in the world sells nothing if nobody sees the site. People are not just going to randomly stumble upon it. We have been talking about ways to supplement retirement income with the assumption that baby boomers need to earn income, not spend what they have. Here are ways to get free traffic if you have no money to spend and even if you have money but are to cheap to spend it.
1. Article writing and submission to article submission sites. The two sites I use are http://www.ezinearticles.com/ and http://www.goarticles.com/ You write about topics related to what you are selling on your website and you can use your url in the resource box at the bottom of the article. This costs you nothing and these backlink to your site is very good link.
2. Video creation and submission to video submission sites like You Tube, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Your kids and grandchildren will be shocked to see Dad's or Grandma's videos published on these sites. My kids think that I am lame, especially my oldest son who has a degree in advertising. Lame or not, several of my videos are on p.1 of Google. If you care to check these out, my usename in the four sites above is stevkuj. They are simple yet effective.
